Phewww, time to relax – another SQLSaturday Denmark under the belt, the last few weeks have been really hectic. I’ve seen Regis (B|T) more than my family, and it’s time for some quality time with my wife Lotte and the twins ;o)
I am very happy that the selection of speakers was a success, as you can see on the stats here – it’s seems that the attendees highly agreed with our selections, and that is everything to us – by all means, it is for the attendees we do this. They are the reason we keep doing this, to get the best speakers to come to Denmark and share all their knowledge with the community in Denmark.
A great thanks to our sponsors, without them we would not have the possibility to have this great event in Denmark.
An even greater thank you to all the volunteers, that happily spend their saturday in the spirit of the community, and again a great thank you to all the speakers, whom also use their spare time and many also at their own expenses – without them there would be no event.
So until next year, and next SQLSatDenmark or another Event, have a great time and remember to join your local SQL Server community – you might be the next local speaker.

It is with great pleasure, that we in the SQLSaturday Denmark commitee can announce that we have decided to change the location of the venue.
Instead of being held at IT-University, we have decided to joins forces with Microsoft Denmark and have the venue at their offices in Hellerup again. This marks the third year in a row, we are very pleased that Microsoft decided to let us have their offices for the venue – and we will have even more space this time, than we had the two previous years. This weekend I was attending SQLSaturday Portugal both as an attendee and a speaker, I had a Hands-on Lab on the topic “Automatic deployment af Azure Big Data solution with Powershell”. A rather large topic for just 1½ hours, put I think the attendees had a good time and the room was packed. There was room for 16 in the classroom and every seat was taken, I need to get the exercises trimmed a bit, as there were too many and maybe a bit to complicated. The amount of exercises would fit a 3 hour session or perhaps a precon (well, I might consider that for another event). Continue reading →

SQLSaturdays are a free 1-day training events for SQL Server professionals that focus on local speakers, providing a variety of high-quality technical sessions, and making it all happen through the efforts of volunteers. Only cost will be travel and accommodation.
Rehfeld will do the planning to ensure that we beside the event get time to network and share knowledge and answer questions together with the Rehfeld speakersand other participants.
The New York event will take place on Time Square at Microsoft Office and will be delivered by 70 speakers from all over the globe making sure of the quality and the diversity of the sessions. Where ever you are interested in development, Business intelligence or infrastructure this is the place to be on May the 30th.
We are also planning a Round table event with program managers from Microsoft, where we can have an informal discussion about the SQL Server Road-map, Power BI Road-map, and ask questions to the experts.

A few weeks ago, I was up early in the morning and to my surprise an email ticked in – the email was from the SQLSaturday event managers in New York. the had the pleasure to tell my that my session on Azure – Automation of deployment had been selected.
I am very honored to be chosen to speak at this huge event, where more that 70 speakers from around the globe will attend and make this a day of plenty information and knowledge sharing for every attendee.
The event will be held saturday 30th of May, at Microsoft New York office at Times Square, so it’ll be smack middle of Manhattan. Really looking forward to give my talk there, and I think that it may be the biggest event I have been a speaker at to this moment.
We in Rehfeld Partners A/S, think that this would be an opportunity for our customers to get free knowledge and meet some of the leading experts on Business Intelligence, Microsoft SQL Server, Sharepoint, Power BI and other technologies from Microsoft. Therefore we have decided to invite customers along, and join us on this trip to New York, Rehfeld Partners A/S have 2 speakers at the event, and Effektor A/S (company that started in Rehfeld) have 1 speaker at the event. We will arrange roundtable meetings, where we discuss technology, business intelligence and how we see the future from a Danish / Microsoft perspective.
